Join Specifically Seniors on May 6, 2011 from 5-10pm for “A Walker to Remember” This is a fundraiser for the SW Washington Medical Center Foundation Patients in Need Fund. The event will be held at El Presidente Mexican Restaurant at 312 E Evergreen Blvd Vancouver, WA.
The Patients In Need Fund is a part of the SW Washington Medical Center Foundation and uses funds and resources specifically for the above mentioned scenarios. The resources that we raise will help our neighbors in SW Washington have safe discharges from the hospital. We can make a difference by providing walkers, canes, medical supplies, and basic financial and emotional needs.

Thanks to everyone who participated by shopping, donating and volunteering, our first Alzheimer’s Fundraiser Great Success. We were able to raise over $1,500 in this year’s yard sale. We are still looking for people to join our team for the Portland Memory Walk on September 26th. Please visit our team webpage to join or donate to the cause.

The 3rd Annual Serenity Hospice Charity Softball Tournament is August 7, 2010 at 9:00.
Mark you calendars and start gathering your team for this wicked fun, family-friendly fundraiser. We will be sending more information about registration but for now just SAVE THE DATE.
Things to do while you wait for more info:
Try to remember where you put your glove after the game last year.
Listen to John Fogerty’s “Centerfield” at least 10 times every day.
Brush up on the 1996 Cubs hand signals and practice sliding into homeplate in the hallways (not recommended for carpeted floors).
Work on your team Victory Celebration Dance.

Join Choice Senior Services, LLC and other exhibitors at the Passport to Freedom Health and Wealth Expo benefiting the Oregon Paralyzed Veterans of America.
The event will be held July 10, 2010 from 9:00 am. until 3:00 pm at Wellspring in Woodburn. Located at 1475 Mt. Hood Ave Woodburn, Oregon 97071.

Loaves & Fishes Centers, The Meals-On-Wheels Program will host their annual Portland area luncheon on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Oregon Convention Center’s Portland Ballroom.
The tickets are free with a suggested donation of $100. All money raised will go toward the 5,000 meals provided to seniors each week.

Courtyard at Mt. Tabor is having a casino night to raise money for breast cancer. This fun filled event will be Thursday, May 6th from 5p.m. to 9p.m. The cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. Price includes scrip money and a spaghetti dinner. There will be music, cocktails, and prices for top winners.
